We’re devoted to outcome-focused research to better understand the problems and mechanisms of diseases like Diabetes and Dupuytrens.
The Institute is focused on performing outcome-focused research and is not interested in basic research for its own sake. Outcome-focused research takes basic research principles and findings and applies them to problems promptly without the need for extensive committees and red tape. In short, we endeavor to achieve results faster.
The Scharp-Lacy Institute is devoted to providing the environment and resources for its investigators to research long-standing medical issues. With a foundation in Diabetes research, Scharp-Lacy has continued to expand its field of study to include Dupuytren’s Disease as a principal area of focus.
